What is your methodology?
Our approach empowers parents by enhancing their skills, providing guidance, and fostering strategies for behavioral modification.
This process is rooted in scientifically supported principles like non-violent communication, emotional intelligence, attachment theory, nervous system regulation, and values-driven leadership.
Additionally, our coaching models encompass a range of methods, including generational pattern coaching, somatic coaching, emotional regulation coaching, and others.
What is the basis of the methodology you teach?
I teach a parent-centric versus a child-centric approach to parenting problems. This methodology is rooted in non-violent communication, emotional intelligence, brain development, and conscious communication.
I trust parents to discern the values they want for their family while guiding them to discover new ways of interacting with their children.
Parents will become attuned to their children so they can uncover the needs behind their behavior. That equips them to resolve conflicts through peace, connection, and cooperation.
What is the scientific basis for this work?
Our approach is deeply grounded in attachment science, which explores how our childhood experiences with our parents shape our ability to form genuine and vulnerable relationships in adulthood, particularly with our own children.
We utilize methods such as non-violent communication, emotional intelligence, and somatic awareness to achieve this, all of which focus on understanding and regulating our nervous system. By mastering self-regulation, we can better guide our children in developing these skills themselves, a process that continues into their twenties.
In addition, our work delves into the neuroscience behind human brain development, offering a comprehensive understanding of these processes.
Is your program more therapy or coaching?
Our coaching program looks to the future, supporting parents to create intention, vision, and awareness… and then follow through with their commitments.
Therapy is a healing profession that is meant to support mental health challenges. If there is a need for therapy, I will provide you with a referral.
With what age ranges do you work?
Do you work with couples?
Do your clients have assignments between sessions?
YES! If you participate in the 12-week program, you will have a video to watch and a workbook to complete between sessions.
If you are an ad hoc client, I will still provide you with some work to complete between sessions so that you can make the most of your mindfulness practice.
What is your professional training?
I have a psychology degree and certifications in pediatric sleep, potty training, postpartum, and parent coaching.
I also have two children of my own and have worked with families for the last three years.
